My client is a leader in its niche industry of carbon and graphite products.  Their Tennessee plant, located Southwest of Nashville, is growing and evolving.  They are seeking a MECHANICAL PLANT ENGINEER, who will lead the set up, design / specification of the automated processing equipment for their new and existing production lines with the support of the Technical Manager and other members of the production team.     Excellent career opportunity for an ambitious mechanical engineering professional, who is looking for long-term growth and advancement.  High profile / high visibility position.     REQUIREMENTS: Must have a BSME or another equivalent engineering degree. Must have 1 to 3 years of experience of hands-on process equipment experience.  No High-Speed Robotics or Assembly Systems experience will be considered.   Will consider entry-level mechanical engineers, but they must have had some form of real-world industrial experience via an Internship or CO-OP designing automated machinery for a specific manufacturing process. Experience working in a process-oriented manufacturing environment, ideally involving high temperatures like metals, ceramics, glass, and/or petrochemical are preferential.   A solid understanding of computer programming and software development is required.
Ability to mechanically troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests.   COMPENSATION:  From $80K to $95K plus an annual bonus up to 5%.
