Our client, a leading engineering and construction firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer NS&E to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer NS&E, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant project. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong background in mechanical design, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer NS&E
**Location:** Richland, WA
**Pay Range:** $32.50 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Designing fluid and gas systems in the Waste Treatment Plant process facilities.
+ Preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation, including calculations using engineering software.
+ Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and clients to develop comprehensive designs.
+ Collecting process, safety, and other requirements for fluid process systems and specifying equipment.
+ Developing piping and instrument diagrams, formal calculations, and equipment datasheets for detailed design.
**What's Needed?**
+ BS degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 3 years of related experience.
+ Experience in Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) development and fluid system design.
+ Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
+ Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
