Mechanical Project Manager
Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to plan and schedule projects, ensuring necessary resources and workforce are available. You will manage projects from design to field installation and job closeout, ensuring work conforms to approved plans and is delivered with quality, on time, and on budget. You will oversee and coordinate field installation activities, ensuring that the appropriate personnel, materials, and resources are at work sites. Effective communication with contractors and clients will be essential to meet client requirements and quality standards. Additionally, you will support the sales process by developing accurate and timely estimates of cost and profitability for prospective work, manage project teams, and maintain necessary paperwork and records. Responsibilities + Plan and schedule projects in collaboration with the Operations Manager. + Manage projects from design to field installation and job closeout. + Ensure work conforms to approved plans and is delivered with quality, on time, and on budget. + Oversee and coordinate field installation activities. + Communicate with contractors and clients to ensure requirements are satisfied and quality standards are met. + Make decisions on the work site within established plans, specifications, and company policies. + Resolve day-to-day operational problems. + Support the sales process by developing accurate and timely estimates of cost and profitability for prospective work. + Manage project teams, supervise employees, and build a highly skilled, high morale, highly productive team. + Maintain paperwork and records required by the position, including processing change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and job files. + Review department financial information on a timely basis. + Increase business revenues by satisfying customers, developing referrals, and meeting personal sales and marketing goals. + Identify areas for operational process improvement and work towards continuous improvement. + Participate with the management team to develop plans and policies for company operation. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing Mechanical Projects. + Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, budgeting, and estimating. + Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam. + Experience with commercial, healthcare, or high-rise projects. + Proficiency in estimation and QuickPen DuctDesigner 3D. + PMP certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering. + Mechanical Estimating experience.
