Mechanical Project Manager
Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at our AZ branch. The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring customer satisfaction across healthcare, commercial, and manufacturing markets. This role requires strong leadership, proficiency in piping, HVAC, plumbing, project controls, estimating, and project management to deliver projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities + Monitor and maintain customer relationships to cultivate leads and opportunities within the market sector. + Develop estimates from project documentation such as drawings, material lists, schematics, P&ID’s, and general arrangement drawings. + Provide constructive input on entire project proposals prior to submission and participate in project interviews. + Negotiate and interpret contracts. + Establish and maintain an effective site safety program to identify and correct safety hazards, respond to safety audit findings, reinforce safety practices, and ensure all employees attend and participate in safety meetings. + Analyze projects during all phases and develop alternative methods to shorten schedules and increase profits. + Provide weekly/monthly project cost projections utilizing the Viewpoint (Vista) software platform. + Develop project cost tracking and productivity tools to ensure project productivity goals are met. + Develop project staffing and manpower plans using scheduling software or similar tools. + Coordinate the activities and responsibilities of subcontractors to ensure effective performance in accordance with contract terms, project schedules, and client requirements. + Track change orders and communicate them to the client for approval as they occur. + Distribute and collect client post-job meetings feedback. Essential Skills + Project management in mechanical construction, industrial construction, HVAC, piping, and plumbing. + Minimum of 5 years of project management experience. + Experience in industrial projects such as data centers, process piping, and commercial construction. + Experience managing new construction and maintenance projects exceeding $10 million. + Experience managing up to 50 jobsite employees. + Proficiency in scheduling programs such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar. + Intermediate general computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Additional Skills & Qualifications + College degree or a 5-year trade apprenticeship preferred. + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry (candidates with a related degree and less than 5 years’ experience may be considered). + Background in HVAC, piping, and plumbing. + Willingness to travel nationally to manage projects. + Onsite management required depending on project size and complexity. Work Environment The work environment includes both office and onsite settings. The office is located in Tempe, AZ, and the role may involve periods of sitting behind a desk, performing tasks on a computer, as well as walking, standing, and some light lifting. Personal protective equipment is required when working onsite. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with specific start and end times to be determined. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
