The Mechanical Shop Lead Senior will lead and support full vehicle builds, retrofits, garage services, and
prototype development programs and ensure established safety, environmental, quality, and
manufacturing procedures are followed. The role will interact and communicate with customers,
management, and employees and provide support to the Supervisor. The Mechanical Shop Lead Senior
will mentor and coach team members in all aspects of mechanical project support.
As a Mechanical Shop Lead Senior, you will:
performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairsMaintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders and conducting inspectionsRepair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and componentsTrack issues and Quality Operating System (QOS)Lead daily shop organization and clean-upTo be considered as a Mechanical Shop Lead Senior, you will need:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of experience as a mechanicMinimum of 6 months of informal leadership experienceGood knowledge in Microsoft Office and good computer skillsExcellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipmentExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skillsAble to work independently and as part of a team and able to lead and mentor othersAbility to read, comprehend and execute written proceduresA successful candidate may also have: Certificate in Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, or relatedNational Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)State Mechanic Certification(s)Valid driver’s licenseKnowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire mounting and balancing and related equipmentKnowledge of electrified vehicles and associated battery systems and their safe operation and
handlingAbility to work overtime as needed including weekends
