Key responsibilities
Strong understanding of automotive ECU controller and/or Electric Driveline and/or Traditional (ICE) Driveline systems and components. (Inverter and/or DCDC converter and/or Controller etc.. )Understanding and interpretation of component and sub-system design requirementsLiaise between business development, engineering, and production plants.Participate in design reviews, plant introductions, and customer demonstrations.Effectively communicate new ideas and concepts to engineering management and corporate staff as required.Collaborate with suppliers (internal and external), design, development, groups to realize unique product solutions.Maintain an open communicative style, readily accepting input from diverse sources while filtering information appropriately.Represent the business unit in corporate innovation initiatives.Conduct internal design reviews to gather support and benefit from lessons learned within the larger engineering organization.Able to perform engineering calculations for component and/or sub-systems.Thorough knowledge of component drawing, including tolerances with GD&T, and their use in stack-up calculation.Knowledge on component and/or sub-system DFMEAs used to define Special CharacteristicsKnowledge about ADVP&R and similar component & system requirements at component & system level.Understanding and implementation for PDP (Product Development Process) and EDF (Engineering Development Framework)Promoting component re-use through knowledge of the global component familyProviding technical support for component issues arising in validation or warrantyProviding cost reduction ideas for their respective component families.Conducting and documenting benchmarking and lessons learned reviewsWill mentor and coach design team and review the technical reportsWhat we are looking for
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s in mechanical/electrical engineeringPreferred Education: Master’s in mechanical/electrical engineeringExperience: minimum of 13+ years in the design and development of automotive driveline products preferably with a track record of launching new products into productionspecific skills preferred: Experience with using NX CAD Software and PLM knowledge in TeamcenterDemonstrated experience of component and/or subsystem design, development, validation, and releaseDemonstrated experience in DFMEAPreferred Requirements
B.E. / B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech in Mechanical or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 13+ years of related engineering work experience in design fieldExperience in EV Driveline and/or ICE Driveline systems.Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.Experience Root Cause Analysis and driving resultDemonstrated experience creating and maintaining 2D/3D technical drawings/models using NX CAD Software and PLM knowledge in Teamcenter.Experience APQP, DFM/DFASelf-directed/self-motivatedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Project)Technical WritingInternal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement
