**Job Title: Mechanical Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to build, repair, or service parts for OEMs, power plants, and industries including energy, oil & gas. The role involves working with turbines, fluid drives, torque converters, and hydraulic couplings. This is primarily a non-travel position, but there are opportunities for those interested in travel to locations such as Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama with advance notice and all travel expenses covered by the company. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and service tasks for turbines, fluid drives, torque converters, and hydraulic couplings. + Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including pumps, drives, bearings, and converters. + Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, cross-sections, and mechanical drawings. + Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring equipment proficiently. + Understand and work with hydraulics and pneumatics. + Tear down machinery for maintenance and repair purposes. + Rebuild and repair machinery to ensure optimal performance. + Estimate the number of bearings needed for specific shafts. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of industrial/mechanical experience. + Experience in power utility mechanical/repair work (e.g., gas turbine techs, power plant techs, power utility techs, general power industry mechanics). + Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, cross-sections, and mechanical drawings. + Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and measuring equipment. + Proficiency with hydraulics and pneumatics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Technical degree or certification strongly desired. + Experience with fluid drives and torque converters is a plus. + Forklift/overhead crane experience, electrical, hydraulics, welding, repair, assembly, pneumatics, and industrial maintenance repair. + Must be a team player, safety conscious, capable of taking initiative, and willing to complete the job. + Excellent driving record. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, profit sharing, and quarterly bonuses.
