AirSwift
Airswift is seeking a Mechanical Technician to work on a 12-month assignment (subject to extension) in Stanton, TX, on a 5/40 schedule.
Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work, either as employees or contractor resources. Typically reports to a supervisor.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery (e.g., engines, instruments, controls, robots).
Help prepare proposals and cost estimates.
Actively participate in the use of all on-the-job safety tools.
Review job packs.
Identify and address safety issues before starting work.
Execute work as planned.
Record technical history as required (e.g., Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheets).
Provide feedback on job pack improvements to the Execution FLS.
Request permits and notify the supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of the requested time.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Discipline-appropriate certifications or equivalent professional experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
Team player with the ability to work effectively with others, even without direct authority, and willingness to assist colleagues.
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
