This will consist of troubleshooting, installation, aligning, repair site equipment including rotating equipment, and completion of preventative maintenance tasks at the Port Arthur, TX site. **During your shift as a Mechanical Technician, you will...** + Joining the team responsible for maintaining mechanical PM’s, Regulatory inspections, and day to day work assignments. + Providing your experience and knowledge to support our EHS policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment + Demonstrating your ability to solve basic mathematical problems, reading comprehension, and mechanical aptitude as you address the work assignments provided to you through our SAP system. + Maintaining a positive attitude and remain compliant with all safety standards, company policies, and good housekeeping practices at the facility. + Documenting work assignments as an aid to establish equipment history for reliability purposes. **If you...** + Possess a HS Diploma or equivalent. + Have a minimum of (5) five years’ experience in the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the following equipment, but not limited to: Pumps, Turbines, Gearboxes, Lubrication Systems, Compressors. + Have minimum of 3 years’ experience in driver to driven laser alignment. + Have minimum of 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repairing Rotating equipment to OEM specifications. + Have the capacity to read and update drawings, specifications, and P&IDs. + Are proficient in use of computers: (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). + Have the ability to climb, work at heights, work within confined spaces, and work in a non-climatized atmosphere (including extreme temperatures and varying stages of humidity). **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
