Mechanical Technician SCF (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Columbus, NE. Assist with engineering projects and other continuous improvement activities. Maintain production equipment. Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust all equipment and systems throughout the facility. Ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and practices and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Support the Controls Coordinator and Process Engineers in implementation of process improvements in mechanical and electrical systems, programming, and Vision Systems. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of machinery, pneumatics, electric motors, variable speed drives, machine vision, and servo systems. Maintenance and repair of Programmable Logic Controllers, Robotics, and Industrial networks. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment within established standards and requirements. Instruct machine operators on proper methods of operation, preventative maintenance, and safety to assure quality and quantity of parts.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associates’ degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electro-mechanical Technology or related technical field, and three (3) years of related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept five (5) years of related work experience.
Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:
Electrical and Computer Knowledge;Experience with mechanical and technical systems;Assess production costs, such as labor, equipment, and plant space;Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment;Glass pharmaceutical syringe washing, siliconizing, and sealing and packaging equipment troubleshooting and maintenance; andSpare parts inventory for machines and equipment.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
