Mechanical Technician: Testing

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician in our Research and Development Testing team who will report to the Testing Supervisor. As a member of the BRP testing team, you will have the opportunity to inspect, diagnose, repair and test drive vehicles such as PWC’s , 3 wheel, 2 wheel, ATV’s and SSV’s to support  the creative side of powersports. In addition to being part of a dynamic and motivated team, you will have the opportunity to support the Testing team.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Diagnose technical problems on the vehicle.

\n\n\n

Provide solutions to technical problems.

\n\n\n

Install, follow-up and evaluate prototype parts.

\n\n\n

Make recommendations for vehicle improvements and serviceability to R&D team.

\n\n\n

Report vehicle inspections, prepare detailed reports of findings, and update product databases.

\n\n\n

Support dynamometer Calibration Technicians to prepare power packs and prototype units.

\n\n\n

Assembly of prototype vehicles

\n\n\n

Execute performance and durability tests

\n\n\n

Miscellaneous tasks to support all groups (Testing, Calibration, Marketing, Data acquisition)

\n\n\n

Maintain organization & cleanliness in individual and common work areas

\n\n\n

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

\n

\n

Required:

\n\n\n

HS diploma.

\n\n\n

3+ years of relevant technical(mechanic)  experience in Powersports products or similar (Auto). 

\n\n\n

Advanced mechanical skills, DC wiring, engine/propulsion installation and troubleshooting and electrical diagnosis. 

\n\n\n

Strong communication skills working in a collaborative environment.

\n\n\n

Valid Drivers License and physically able to operate ATV, SSV,  SPYDER, SPORTBOAT & PWC vehicles.

\n\n\n

Basic computer experience with the ability to type, email, and manage spreadsheets.

\n\n\n

Travel required: 5% per year (to Canadian headquarters or to support other testing sites if needed).

\n\n\n

Location and in office expectations: Work onsite in the Palm Bay, FL site from 7am-3:pm Monday- Friday with overtime (optional).

\n\n\n

\n

Preferred: 

\n\n\n

Technical Certification or Degree.

\n\n\n

Able to handle multiple tasks combining with excellent planning and organizational skills.

\n\n\n

Attention to detail.

\n\n\n

Highly safety conscious.

\n\n\n

Passion for recreational products.

\n\n\n

Forklift Certified and/or able to use trailers.

\n\n\n

\n
