**Summary:**
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team, whose mission is to work with a broad range of multidisciplinary research to advance the state of the art of wearable devices. We are specifically looking for a candidate to develop novel testing protocols and to architect test systems for research hardware. You will leverage internal and external resources in the design and development of test fixtures, specifying of equipment, documenting of test plans, and executing tests for a variety of electro-mechanical systems and materials. More broadly, you will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.
**Required Skills:**
Mechanical Test Engineer (R&D) Responsibilities:
1. Partner on cross-functional teams consisting of Research Scientists and Hardware Engineers to define mechanical methodologies of components and systems level verification testing for research hardware.
2. Perform core test function of verification across thermal, mechanical stress, optics etc.
3. Design, develop and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructure.
4. Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of mechanical tests status and results.
5. Manage internal and external resources to execute on test setup development and conducting tests.
6. Partner with multiple design teams and deliver well documented test results on a reliable schedule.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

7. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or, other related technical field or equivalent experience.
8. 4+ years, or equivalent experience, of experience developing novel testing methods and architecting test equipment for small form factor, electromechanical consumer electronics.
9. 4+ years, or equivalent experience, of experience with 3D CAD design modeling (NX, Solidworks).
10. 4+ years, or equivalent experience, of experience with Python, Matlab, or equivalent.
11. Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and metrics to drive maturity of research grade hardware.

12. Demonstrated experience with statistical data analysis and conducting measurement system analysis.
13. Knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes and experience with assembly of electro-mechanical systems
14. Demonstrated experience specifying and integrating instrumentation and motion control systems (motors, drivers, encoders, pressure transducers, accelerometers, flow sensors)

$111,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
