Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and perform body repair as well as replace parts and components. You will service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, and both mobile and stationary equipment. This role involves using computers to issue parts, update comments on work orders, and utilize diagnostic programs for engines and hydraulic systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate records of services and repairs, keeping equipment operating efficiently, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
ResponsibilitiesRepair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and perform body repair.Replace parts and components.Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, and both mobile and stationary equipment.Use computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders/task lists.Utilize diagnostic programs for engines, hydraulic systems, OEM, and brake systems.Prepare and maintain accurate records of services and repairs.Keep equipment operating efficiently by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs when needed.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs.Effectively communicate with co-workers and customers in a positive manner.Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years' experience with knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical and electronic engines, and mobile equipment.Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance of diesel engines and automotive repair.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Capability to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather.Strong work ethic and attention to detail to find the root cause of equipment failures.Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work overtime as necessary with little or no advance notification.Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hydraulics/pneumatics and wiring.Experience working on heavy equipment such as drilling machines, scissor lifts, forklifts, excavators, skid steers, grout pumps, flatbed trucks, generators, compressors, etc.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is industrial and involves exposure to all weather elements. The role requires standing for significant lengths of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing a wide range of physical activities such as pulling, reaching, bending, and climbing. Overtime may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notification. Safety regulations must be followed at all times, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area is essential.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
