Job Description: Mechanisms Engineer
Description
•\tParticipates in iterative mechanism design improvements based upon their findings in test and production
•\tPerform tests and lead test teams. Develop testing requirements, materials, processes, and tooling (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly).
•\tParticipate in and execute design, analysis, and system trade studies to determine mechanism AI&T at system and spacecraft levels in terms of workflow simplicity, efficiency of handling and integration, test accommodation, and production speed.
•\tProvides inputs to Design Engineering to optimize the manufacturing flow, cost and layout, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials.
•\tProvides product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information; soliciting observations from operators and technicians.
•\tExecute design and analysis using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
•\tTroubleshoot and investigate anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolution.
•\tProvides manufacturing engineering support to Production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
•\tDegree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
•\tPreferred: 2+ years previous experience as an aerospace or similar manufacturing engineer.
•\tKnowledge/experience of mechanism development and testing for space hardware.
•\tDemonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.
•\tFlexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
•\tExcellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00
Company will offer relocation assistance of 10-15K, hotel stay for 2 months, stipend of $1,050 a month tax free to the individual, stock or RSU options of 3000 to 7500.
