The Optical Column Mechatronics Projection group is part of the Development and Engineering Department of ASML. This group develops new products to fill in technological gaps in the future roadmap of lithography and the lithography market and helps support customers with complex field issues. The focus of the team is on Mechatronics systems that reduce the aberrations in the DUV Lens column. We work closely with the software team to develop and support machine software.
Your AssignmentThe test rigs are used to support development and testing of new products, and to troubleshoot problems in current products. These test rigs are quite versatile to have multiple configurations. To switch between these configurations, it requires manual effort and time. The goal of this assignment is to automate configuration management of various test rigs owned by the group. The internship will provide exposure to multidisciplinary work environment, knowledge of software development and debugging, (Git)versioning, VNC and electronics/hardware experience.
This is a Bachelor/ Master apprentice internship for 6 to 12 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days onsite). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible - around February/March.
Your profileTo be a fit for this assignment, you:
Are busy with your bachelor's or a master's in Mechatronics with an affinity for programming or in Engineering including: Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering;
Are skilled in Python and C++;
Are curious about high-tech systems;
Are proactive and have a hands-on mentality;
Have good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational instituteĀ for the entire duration of the internship;
You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate;
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. Ā§ 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
