Introduction to the Job

ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

The main focus will be mechatronics and control systems on advanced modules in metrology tools. You should have direct experience in the design and test of mechatronic systems and control systems.

As a Mechatronics Design Engineer, you will:

Design and develop custom mechatronics systems with a cross sector team (e.g. translating stages, linear motors, BLDC's, sensors, servos, actuators, dynamics, controls, etc.)Troubleshoot designs to determine potential risks, failure modes and corrective actionsBe responsible for “sustaining engineering” tasks, resolving equipment design issues in a timely fashion as they arise at customer sitesParticipate in concept designs and experiments for future equipment and subsystemsRun complex mechatronic systems for test and qualification of design changesDesign quality products using six sigma and lean process techniques for robust designsCreate documentation for product designs and operations to be used in a clean manufacturing environmentAssess and address technical and operational risks based on input of architects and design engineersCoordinate external suppliers and developers involved in product design

Education and Experience
