Responsibilities
Climate Controlled Laboratory, ELISA, clinical laboratory, MLS, MLT, Medical Lab, Biology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Medical Technology, CLS, ASCP, Hematology, Equipment Validation, Instrument Validation, Validation, Pipetting, Assay, Immunology.The Medical Lab Tech / Scientist (MLT/MLS) plays a crucial role in delivering high quality routine testing.Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.Perform assigned clinical laboratory testing and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.Monitor operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.Prepare and calibrate instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy of tests and as needed, perform periodic maitenance on laboratory equipment.Perform and report laboratory tests using automated, semi-automated, and manual test systems and kits.Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Prepare test and evaluate new reagents or controls.Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care using Laboratory Information System (LIS) for data entry and result reporting.Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.Assist with processing of specimens when needed.Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related fieldMinimum 1-2+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience is requiredStrong experience with pipetting 96 well plates and ELISA Assay methodAbility to work independently and within a team environment.High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screenPreferred but NOT Required:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
