Cytogenetics
Scope of Work
Performs highly complex cytogenetic which can only be mastered through years of experience in each field. Prepares, analyzes and interprets results utilizing specialized software when necessary. Initiates, develops and implements additional assays. Utilizes strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as exceptional manual laboratory techniques.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field.
+ Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - P American Society for Clinical Pathology Upon Hire required Or
+ Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Upon Hire required Or
+ American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - American Medical Technologists Upon Hire required
+ While previous experience as a cytogenetic technologist with ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (if certification eligible, certification must be obtained within two years of date of hire) is desired, other candidates with clinical laboratory experience and a strong interest in medical genetics and genomics will be considered -preferred
+ CRT-Cytogenetic Technologist (CG) - ASCP ( American Society for Clinical Pathology ) - within 1 year- required
