Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Provides a variety of secretarial and clerical services for Medical Affairs and Administration departments. Produce and support executive presentations to Medical Staff, employees and Board of Trustees. Manage administrative Policies & Procedures. Job Details DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support to the Medical Department Directors and Section Chiefs and Committee Chairs regarding the functioning of their department with regard to business and quality issues as well as the same for the Medical Board. Prepares agendas, takes and transcribes minutes, distributes information to departments, follows up on issues, and prepares correspondence generated by monthly meetings. Maintain department meetings and attendance; send letters when necessary if requirement is not met. Handle elections – notify Department/Section of the timeframe for nominations and send out ballots when each department or section comes up for elections of Director/Chief; bring ballots to the September Medical Board for results. Type, distribute, and follow up on ED call schedules and changes. Send out notices and collect the annual Medical Staff dues. Pay bills for the staff and make deposits, reconcile checking accounts, and prepare quarterly financial statements. Set up specific meetings for medical staff leadership as necessary. Prepare the monthly medical staff calendar, order food for meetings and pick up carts. Answer numerous phone calls from physicians, community, etc; open mail; handle office inquiries by physicians and other hospital employees. Maintains the Physician Lounge POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School graduation or equivalent; 1-2 years of college preferred. Skills, Knowledge or Abilities: Advanced knowledge of MS office Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Speak, read and write English to the extent required by the position Salary Range USD $28.61 - USD $35.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
