Med Surg /ICU Technician Per Diem

Med Surg Technician- Intensive Care Unit, Oswego Hospital

Per diem requirements 

Main function is patient care (AM/PM care, assisting with turning and repositioning, obtaining blood glucoses), assisting with transports, restocking, answering phones, maintaining supplies, supporting nursing, effectively interacting with patients, visitors, providers. Ensuring needed paperwork is printed and available for procedures, transfers, etc.

Also, updates and maintains kardex, Medical Record, and all patient related documents.  Maintain office supplies, enter patient charges and filing of patient related reports.  Effectively interact with guests, patient, physicians, employees, volunteers, etc. and maintain good communication skills.  Receive information and accurately distribute messages to appropriate personnel.  Maintain statistics as directed by Clinical Case Manager.  Under the general direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager or their designee, to provide assigned residents/patients with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures.

High School diploma or GED required.  Graduate of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.  Typing and basic computer knowledge required.  One year of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.  Basic knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices is preferred.

Pay Range: $16.65-$19.98/hr

Employee salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
