Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical/Surgical LPN to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments effectively and efficiently with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care, consistently performing according to nursing standards and managing patient care while assisting others.

+ Duration : 13 weeks to start, with a strong chance of extension
+ Facility Type : State Hospital

+ Part-time Sat-Sun 11p-7a
+ Part-time Fri-Mon 11p-7a
+ Start Date : January 6th
+ Pay Rate :
+ Local: $50/hr
+ Travel: $1,912/week (32 hrs), $956/week (16 hrs)
Duties and Responsibilities (general summary, not all-inclusive):
+ Initiates physical, psychosocial, and spiritual assessment of patients' nursing care needs according to admission procedures and unit policy.
+ Develops a Plan of Care with the patient, significant others, multidisciplinary health care team, and other resources, reflecting nursing diagnosis, patient needs, specific interventions, strengths, discharge needs, and outcome measures.
+ Implements and documents nursing interventions as per the plan of care, in accordance with nursing theory, policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Provides ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient status to determine the effectiveness of interventions and patient outcomes.
+ Documents nursing care processes and outcomes in accordance with policies and procedures.
+ Provides education and training to patients and significant others to improve health outcomes.
+ Provides leadership in organizing the delivery of care and supervises care delivered by NAs.
+ Participates in performance improvement activities and risk management.
+ Maintains professional growth and competency through ongoing education and participation in professional organizations.
+ Contributes to effective interpersonal and community relations to ensure quality patient care.
+ Contributes to safety, risk management, infection control, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
+ Demonstrates competence in providing age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
+ Ensures continuity of care by following communication policies.
+ Demonstrates a positive attitude and treats everyone with respect and dignity.
Qualifications :
+ 2+ years of hospital experience
+ Vent/trach experience
+ Telemetry experience
+ IV experience
