Overview and Responsibilities:
Pluto TV is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join our Content Operations Team! In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all captions and audio description delivered to Pluto TV are accurate and in line with FCC specifications & global standards, internally and externally on our various platforms. This position reports to our Director, Content Operations. In your daily activity, you will be working with other collaborators such as PMO; Product; Accessibility; Customer Care and others. You will also be working alongside our international counterparts to align closely on specifications, requirements and standard processes.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all issues are properly documented, tracked and prioritized correctly
• Ensure all title scheduled deadlines are met and any deviation is communicated in detail to various internal collaborators
• Working directly with our content partners and post-production facilities to unblock and resolve issues
• Documenting and communicating team rejections and production blockers with utmost detail to various partners (internal and external)
• Understanding of all compliance standards, which include, but not limited to - Audio Description, Captions, etc.
• Provide regular status reports on technical challenges during team meetings to management and team
• Ability to use RMS / MAM / CMS systems
• Understanding Pluto TV's quality control workflow process
• Ability to communicate deadlines & information to our vendors
• Attend meetings with Media Specialists
• Working with our Scheduling manager on timelines and updates
• Knowledge of digital components for streaming
• Ability to compile data from various sources to create and distribute reports to Content Operations leadership
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years prior experience as a Coordinator in a similar setting for new media, audio, video and/or interactive consumer entertainment products, preferably in a video delivery environment
• 3+ years of full-time work experience in the Media and Entertainment industry, Post-Production, Localization, Streaming Media or Television
• Understand various metadata fields, particularly JSON and XML
• Knowledge of common digital media formats, standards and codecs – Video, Audio, Captions, Images & Metadata (e.g. M3U8, MP4, .422, etc.)
• Required experience with Excel and Google Sheets
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience working with Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira)
• Experience with AirTable
• Knowledge of various caption formats (SCC; VTT; etc.)
• Knowledge of descriptive metadata
• Ability to effectively collaborate in a team setting
• Experience navigating MAM and CMS systems
• Experience in RMS Systems
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and change gears at a moments’ notice
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical and operational problems
• Comfortable cold calling clients and vendors
• Confident in effectively communicating any updates to collaborators - both internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to lead projects independently
• Ability to multitask, coordinate and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process efficiency improvements
• Self-organized and self-motivated
• BA degree in TV/Film production or related field preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $42,400.00 - 67,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
