Additional Qualifications and Skills:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Strong candidates will possess some skills in at least one of the following areas, and an interest in learning more about all of the following:
+ Experience operating cameras, lights, microphones and other studio equipment.
+ Experience with video editing and post-production software, such as Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
+ Experience with or interest in learning other creative software, such as Unity, Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, After Effects, Procreate, Logic Pro, Garageband, Audacity, Ableton.
+ Background in pre-production of multimedia projects including research, writing, outreach, and various preparatory tasks.
+ Programming experience with any of the following: shell scripts, JavaScript (especially for scripting with node), HTML, CSS, XML, Swift, Python.
+ Experience with database and media management tools, including AWS S3, GitHub, Google Drive, Airtable and Dropbox.
+ Interest in teaching, education technology and instructional design.
+ Experience with CSS and basic web development would be an asset.
+ Experience with coding, scripting and command line tools would be an asset.
+ Analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical process issues.
+ Strong attributes and skills as a team member.
+ Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills.

Over the course of the typical term, the Learning Lab’s staff will support projects related to theater and dance, full-stack web development, infographics, video production, 3D modeling for AR/XR experiences, and more. The Media Coordinator plays a key role in helping our staff, fellows and clients generate assets in these various mediums, and, crucially, takes a lead role in ensuring that this media is ingested, tracked, and distributed appropriately.
The Learning Lab is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that offers unique opportunities to learn and collaborate with teachers and learners, artists and technologists. Expertise in each of the tools we use is not a prerequisite for employment, but enthusiasm and an aptitude for learning new skills are essential.
Reporting to the Director of the Learning Lab, the Media Coordinator will:
+ Manage the ingest, organization, backup, and distribution of media files. Help to ensure the ongoing safety and security of Bok Center media and the privacy of student and faculty clients.
+ Provide training and office hours on various media production tools for Bok Center staff and clients (including student fellows and well as students in courses we support).
+ Assist in live events within the Learning Lab Studio such as workshops, hackathons, and live performances. Staff evening events as needed.
+ Assist in setting up and operating our studio’s video and audio production equipment.
+ Assist in guaranteeing media is accessible, including managing the captioning for Bok Center media. Learn about best practices in accessibility for media projects.
+ Assist with the development and dissemination of media-rich stories on the Learning Lab’s work for Bok Center reports, social media channels, and multimedia reports for clients and departments.
+ Aid with research, writing, and conversations required for pre production.
+ Contribute, as appropriate given the employee’s background and skills, to collaborative creative and exploratory projects in the Learning Lab, such as website development, graphics and animations, AR/XR projects, live-event and performance support, etc.
+ Develop learning materials and resources related to media production tools.
+ Deploy and contribute to the command line scripts, utilities and databases we use for media management.
