Project Summary:
The goal of the USAID/OTI Moldova Resilience Initiative (MRI) is to strengthen support for a democratic, European Moldova. USAID/OTI and MSI will work with a coalition of civic, media, and government stakeholders in support of program goals. The program will operate primarily through a small grants mechanism and will rely on ongoing analysis of the local context to inform programming.

Position Summary:
The Media Creator for the Russian Language Communications Team will play a crucial role in supporting MRI’s strategic communication efforts by producing multimedia content specifically designed for the Russian-speaking audience. This role requires a creative individual with expertise in graphic design, video production, and multimedia storytelling, with a focus on content in the Russian language. The Media Creator will work closely with internal teams to develop visually compelling materials that engage and resonate with the Russian-speaking community. This short-term assignment requires a commitment of 65 days and will be based in Chișinău, Moldova.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, design, and produce visual assets, including graphics, illustrations, infographics, and animations, specifically for use in digital and print materials targeting the Russian-speaking audience. Produce high-quality video content in Russian, including filming, editing, and post-production tasks, to effectively convey key messages and narratives to the Russian-speaking community. Collaborate with Writers, Photographers, and other creatives to integrate multimedia elements into communication campaigns and initiatives aimed at the Russian-speaking audience. Ensure consistency in visual identity and branding across all Russian-language multimedia materials, adhering to MRI’s style guidelines and standards. Coordinate with the Design Team Lead and other stakeholders to maintain a unified brand presence and messaging strategy for the Russian-speaking audience. Review and refine Russian-language multimedia content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with communication objectives and the preferences of the target audience. Conduct quality control checks on final deliverables to maintain high standards of production value and professionalism in Russian-language content. Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of Russian-language multimedia assets, including raw footage, graphics files, and design templates. Ensure proper file naming conventions, metadata tagging, and version control for Russian-language content to facilitate efficient asset retrieval and reuse.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or another relevant field is required. Minimum one year of experience working in the communications field is required. Experience with USAID-funded or other international organization projects and familiarity with USAID communications policies is preferred. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds is required. Ability to work and travel within Moldova is required. Fluency in Russian, English, and Romanian is required.
