Media Manager, Paid Social

Position Purpose:

The Manager, Media (Paid Social) oversees all aspects of paid social investments for national and regional advertising and is a key influencer on corporate omni-channel strategy. Responsible for working with key stakeholders and business/initiative leaders across the enterprise to understand specific customer, business and communication goals as well as oversee the execution of omni-channel plans within the context of the overall marketing mix. Analyzes industry trends, channel results and business environment to improve strategies and plan recommendations. Manages partnerships with key paid social platforms, including product roadmap and product feedback, annual partnership agreements, added value and creative or measurement support. Supports channel measurement, results reporting and insights. Helps direct agency planning, buying and activation for areas of responsibility.


Key Responsibilities:

10% Budget Management - Budget management and stewardship of omni-channel investments15% Channel Expertise - Partner with omni-channel partners, key stakeholders and business/initiative leaders across the enterprise to develop channel recommendations that support key customer, business and marketing goals and objectives20% Direct Omni-Channel Plans - Help direct media agency and/or supervise direct reports on creation and execution of department-level omni-channel plans10% Reporting & Learning - Support the analysis of reporting on channel performance and audience behaviors and incorporate learnings into current and future planning25% Stakeholder Relationship Management - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key omni-channel stakeholders and business/initiative leaders across the enterprise20% Test & Learn - Test and learn new and emerging omni-channel trends/opportunities that will help support frictionless customer experiences, drive our business and create competitive advantage


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

This position typically reports to Sr Manager, MediaThis position has 3-4 direct reports


Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:

Paid social expertise in planning and in-platform activation across Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Snap, Reddit, Nextdoor, YouTube and LinkedIn Omni-channel agency planning/buying experiencePrevious client-side omni-channel planning experienceDirect people management experience preferred; previous leadership, mentoring and/or coaching experienceRetail/multi outlet advertising experienceStrong leadership abilities, experience supporting/mentoring team members and proven track record of building cross-functional work relationships, both internally and with external agency and platform partnersHighly organized with an ability to combine strategic direction with hands-on tactical executionStrategic thinker with demonstrated ability to conceptualize and build integrated omni-channel plansStrong presentation skills with ability to gain alignment on recommendationsMust be proficient in Excel/Word/Powerpoint computer programsMust be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/responsibilities; must be organized and a strong communicator; may be involved in some mildly difficult situationsWorking knowledge of marketing, finance, advertising, merchandising and operations; builds effective partnerships throughout the organizationPartners with omni-channel strategy leads and stakeholders to set strategic, long-term planning; thinks outside of the current day-to-day environment to create a vision of what the future looks like for our customers


Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
