As the Media Prep Site Supervisor, you’ll lead a team that is important to our mission of providing high-quality media preparation and stockroom services. Together, we emphasize open communication, proactive inventory management, strong safety practices, and innovative technology to meet and exceed industry standards!

A day in the life

Customer Engagement: We work closely with our customers to build awareness and understanding of our program, using clear communication and regular updates. This role will be instrumental in delivering presentations and responding to user feedback with proactive solutions.

Inventory & Stockroom Management: Together, we handle the Stockroom with a focus on efficiency and readiness, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized and restocked promptly. Collaborating with our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams, we’ll establish safe chemical storage practices and conduct safety reviews for new processes. You’ll also work with vendors to handle backorders and identify alternatives, keeping our operations running smoothly.

Safety Oversight: You’ll lead monthly safety inspections, guiding our work in media and buffer preparation according to GLP/GMP standards. Together, we coordinate crucial tasks like glassware sterilization and equipment maintenance, ensuring a safe environment.

Leadership & Team Development: We believe in growing together. As a leader, you’ll support team members with hands-on training, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to excel. You’ll handle onboarding and offboarding processes, conduct one-on-one check-ins, and promote a culture of safety and compliance, fostering an environment where we all learn and develop.

Technology & Data Management: We rely on digital tools like Benchling and Smartsheet to keep our data accurate and our processes efficient. You’ll lead all aspects of these systems, driving improvements based on insights from key performance metrics. Together, we’ll review and optimize workflows, ensuring that every step we take aligns with our broader program goals.

Customer Success: We provide excellent customer service, and you’ll be at the forefront of this mission. Serving as the primary point of contact, you’ll address inquiries, ensuring our support for media prep and inventory needs consistently exceeds customer expectations.

Keys to Success

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, a related field, or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in a lab setting, preferably in media preparation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of team development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with GLP/GMP environments is preferred.
