Media Prep Technician for a great lab in Berkeley, CA!!

Description

•\tManufacturing liquid media by following a batch records and SOPs requiring good documenting practices, aseptic techniques, and attention to detail

•\tMaintaining an inventory of media components and completed liquid media preparations

•\tProficient in data collection and management\t

•\tMaintaining a clean and organized workspace

•\tManaging a media production schedule in a team environment

•\tMaintaining JIRA board to track status, requests, and deliveries of media orders from researchers

•\tCommunicating with requestors on media preparation activities, observations, and status of preparations

•\tBasic troubleshooting with team if issues arise or media specifications are not met.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum one (1) years experience in Media Prep, preferably in a non-academic setting.

- High School diploma plus six (5) years lab experience or equivalent experience required.

- Able to work on your feet, standing or walking up to 80% of shift.

- Able to lift 50 lbs.

- Effective time management and organizational skills, strong math skills.

- Strong customer service skills, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

- Must be fluent in Microsoft Office, and know how to use a computer to access the internet.

- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
