Media Technology Specialist
Overview

Under general supervision of the Technical Service Manager, Media Technology Specialist will support, develop and implement a variety of audio, video, lighting, digital signage and other related projects. The position’s responsibilities require independent analysis, communication, problem solving, coordination with various teams, as well as vendors, to develop, implement and support a variety of new and existing audio-visual systems.  Interact closely with peers to ensure stability of Audio-Visual environment.  Work will be performed with little supervision and requires initiative, solid troubleshooting skills and good judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2 years of IT related Audio/Visual experience required. Digital Signage and Audio/Video distribution experience preferred. Background Music & Microphone systems experience preferred. Casino industry experience is preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain Osage Nation Gaming License. Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain an Osage Nation gaming license. Required to maintain a valid Driver’s License. Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States. SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

COMMUNICATION:

Ensures company information provided by management is effectively communicated to assigned staff and ensures staff concerns, request for information, and ideas for improvement are effectively relayed to management. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the area of responsibility by presiding over scheduled meetings with staff and team members as required. Stays informed of company information and communications by reviewing all e-mails, digital boards and SharePoint.

DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:

Deploys, manages, monitors, supports and occasionally installs the following: Conference room technology, Background music, Digital signage systems hardware and software, Guest room technologies, Audio & Video Streaming technology, Media Control Systems & Microphone systems. Project Management (scheduling, tracking, general invoice routing, procurement) Travel to Osage Casinos sites (as required, for troubleshooting, assisting installations and upgrades of Audio, Video, Lighting and Digital Signage solutions.) Reviews, monitors and work service tickets within established standards and guidelines to ensure the timely resolution of issues. Capacity to work productively with minimal daily supervision. Creation of technical and operational documentation as it relates to Audio Visual Systems and other related job duties. Providing escalated technical support to employees by handling systems-related issues and analyzing and resolving support deficiencies. Recommends, schedules, and performs maintenance, improvements, upgrades, and conducts health checks to ensure optimal Audio-Visual Systems performance. Manages relationships with operation teams to consistently deliver product releases in a timely, organized, and staged manner across multiple platforms to meet business needs and expectations. Interacts with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors on Audio-Visual Systems issues and products. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Performs other duties as required.

Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating all guests with courtesy and consideration at all times. Cooperates and communicates with all employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image and attitude. Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guest and staff

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance. Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act. Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrable knowledge in digital content processes, Audio / Video distribution, and Media Control Systems. Crestron, BSS Soundweb, Peavey or related audio management experience is desired. Knowledge of current industry protocols, standards/ best practices and technologies for Audio / Visual systems Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise Technical knowledge of computer systems and networks. Familiarity with network topology, TCP/IP, wireless, switches and router. Familiarity with low voltage cabling, (HDMI, XLR, CAT5, CAT6, Speaker & Etc.) Proficient with the Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office suite. Ability to apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills while working independently; managing projects; installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, and monitoring system performance and network resources; and providing guidance to team members. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Strong oral & written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively collaborate with all professional levels, across departments and properties. Lead and mentor the qualities that foster an environment of customer service, delivery of quality services, and tenacious troubleshooting. Experience in training staff, peers and management, in the arena of AV systems and digital signage related software. Knowledge of NIGC MICS, ONGC Regulations, departmental, and organizational policy and procedures. Ability to make financial evaluations and proposals regarding current and/or future hardware and software capabilities/requirements. Ability to develop and write technical documentation and guidelines for end users. Ability to provide a range of systems training and/or support activities for users. Ability to perform preventive maintenance on systems. Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer appropriate solutions. Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds, employees and officials. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is also regularly required to stand for extensive periods of time, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, crawl, balance, or crouch while performing duties. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to use arms to reach and lift above shoulders. Must have normal auditory and good verbal communication. Must be able to endure heights. Ability to lift, drag, push, or pull up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is typically performed within an office and Casino setting. Exposure to second-hand smoke. Supports a 24/7 systems environment. Evening and weekend shifts may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. Ability to work nights and weekends required. Noise level in the work environment is moderate to high. The employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between properties and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands.
