Nestled in the Sierra foothills of California, Yosemite and Mt. Lassen Treatment Centers located on the Sierra Ridge Campus are licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs that offer individual, group, and family therapy, as well as evidence-based skill and rehabilitation groups.  Sierra Ridge embraces a strengths-based approach within a least restrictive program model and normalized high school environment. Here youth become part of a cohesive, supportive, dynamic community of peers and highly qualified staff. Through Rite of Passage’s Integrated Care Model, Sierra Ridge provides a trauma-responsive program that is individualized for each youth.

Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour.

What you will do: As a Medic/Medical Assistant, you will coordinate the flow of students to be seen by the health care professionals within the program and the scheduling of students to be seen by outside health care professionals ~  Perform daily sick calls as referred by group living staff ~ Treats all injuries, medical conditions and provide basic first aid and/or life support in the event of an emergency ~ Ensure all prescription medication is self-administered and documented ~ Ensure all life support equipment and supplies are available and in good working order ~ Maintain daily logs, complete Medical Incident Reports and communicate in a timely manner.

To be considered you should: Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect ~ Have a desire to work with troubled teens ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Have a High School diploma or equivalent and a Certification or Diploma for Medical Assistant ~ Current state Emergency Medical Technician Certification, CNA Certification, or Medical Assistant Certification ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: 4 days per week:

A Shift ~ Sunday - Wednesday ~ 10-hour shift with 2-hour break. B Shift ~ Wednesday - Saturday ~ 10-hour shift with 2-hour break.
