We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medicaid Provider Evaluation & Research Assistant with knowledge and experience in state Medicaid processes. This role will involve understanding the regulatory requirements for provider enrollment processes, researching state Medicaid programs, and developing materials including session notes, research briefing documents, state program evaluations, and Power Point decks. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the Medicaid program, as well as a strong ability to assist with research initiatives related to Medicaid systems and federal regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** • Provider Evaluation: • Conduct onsite evaluations of Medicaid provider enrollment processes in multiple states (up to 5 per year). • Assess State Medicaid regulations, provider enrollment, and compliance procedures. • Review provider documentation, workflows, and procedures for Medicaid provider qualifications and revalidation. • Collaborate with state Medicaid agencies and federal regulators to assess and improve Medicaid provider enrollment processes. • Provide detailed feedback and develop documentation on state-specific Medicaid provider enrollments and suggest improvements to support alignment with federal guidelines. • Support the development of action plans to close gaps in compliance with federal requirements. • Research Assistance: • Assist with research on Medicaid policies, regulations, and state programs. • Gather and analyze data on Medicaid provider enrollment methods across states. • Assist in preparing reports, reviews, and presentations for research findings. • Support the development of best practices for Medicaid provider enrollment based on information learned during site visits and research. • Stay current on state and federal Medicaid policy changes and their impact on provider enrollment. • Other responsibilities: • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team **Qualifications:** • Strong understanding of Medicaid regulations at the state and federal level. • Experience with state-specific Medicaid processes, including provider enrollment, compliance, and monitoring. • Research skills and the ability to gather, analyze, and summarize complex Medicaid data. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity. • Ability to verbally communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including Medicaid agencies and federal partners. • Ability to effectively distill complex subjects into executive briefing documents. • Willingness to travel up to five times per year to conduct onsite evaluations across different states. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Preferred:** • Bachelor's degree • Previous experience working as a research assistant, particularly in healthcare or Medicaid-related research. • Familiarity with qualitative research methods Requirements: • Ability to obtain a Public Trust **Location:** • Remote and Onsite Evaluation Across Multiple States **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
