As a Medical Affairs Manager: Digital Innovation, you will be responsible for supporting the company's mission to provide innovative solutions for diabetes management. This individual will be responsible for managing a range of internal critical support functions for medical affairs, including Medical Affairs Website development and execution, publications processes, Medical Information, and other operational projects as appropriate. **This is a remote opportunity.** **What You’ll Do** + Website Development & Management: + Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of medical affairs website in collaboration with IT and IT business relationship manager, ensuring it algins with organizational goals and complies with industry regulations. + Oversee ongoing maintenance of website, including updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring up-to date content. + Develop digital strategies to increase visibility and dissemination of key scientific literature. + Implement best practices for digital content management, optimizing user interface and ensuring the website is accessible, user-friendly, and compliant with legal and regulatory guidelines. + Engage with external vendors as appropriate to support development and/or content updates. + Manage updates to website through Veeva approval process + Monitor website analytics and use data to recommend and implement improvements to enhance engagement and content effectiveness. + Collaborate with IT as well as cross functional teams to improve search engine optimization as well as website distribution and integration with Abbott’s digital platform in a compliant manner. + Publication processes support: + Contribute to the publication process including Datavision record management. + Support optimizing process and implementation of new/upgraded publication platform. + Liaise with Compliance and Quality to ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping. + Global medical information support: + Provide consistent support to Senior Manager Medical Engagement by fulfilling accurate and balanced medical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs), medical affairs team members and other internal stakeholders. + Identify appropriate sources of relevant data, evaluate and incorporate information from various sources including literature, clinical data, medical references, as the basis for medical information responses. Work with global medical affairs members to adapt/translate medical information response per regional needs. + Coordinate with Medical information team to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is provided on the website + Provide general support of medical information webform on website + Cross-functional Collaboration and stakeholder engagement: + Work closely with global medical, clinical, and commercial teams to align digital strategies with organizational objectives to ensure consistently in messaging across all platforms. + Partner with internal stakeholders (regulatory, legal, compliance, quality, and digital social review board to ensure content features meet internal standards and requirements + Serve as digital advocate for medical affairs department, helping to integrate digital tools and solutions to broaden medical communication efforts. + Contribute to operational excellence within the Medical Affairs team by optimizing processes, ensuring efficient workflow management, and KOL/HCP engagement as appropriate. + Collaborate in onboarding and mentoring pharmacy fellows. + Provide support for medical congresses and represent medical affairs in staffing medical information and engaging with KOLs and the medical community to gather insights and strengthen Abbott's presence in the diabetes care field. **Experience You’ll Bring** **Required** + Degree with Minimum of 7 years of Experience. **Preferred** + Advanced degree in a relevant medical/scientific field (MD, DO, PharmD, APRN, PA, PhD, or clinical professional degree equivalent). + Minimum 1 year of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, preferably in diabetes care. + Prior experience with implementation in digital innovation and a strong understanding of digital platforms, content management and medical communications + Experience in publication and/or medical information platforms is desirable + Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage/engage with cross-functional teams. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. + Knowledge of clinical research, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
