As an AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of collection and investigative functions on delinquent patient account balances. Remote with restrictions - applicants must be located in the state of CT to qualify Responsibilities: + Follows the claims process and assure this is completed in a timely manner. + Work closely with Account Services and Operations to ensure accuracy in billing. + Reconcile accounts when payments are received. + Performs follow-up on open AR, insurance billing, and collection activities. + Files appeals for denied claims. + Processes refund requests for insurance companies. + Answers billing and payment related questions for patients. + Recommends rebilling to third parties if appropriate. + Refers accounts to outside collection agencies. Requirements: + 2 years’ experience in a related position (Medical billing, AR/Collections, insurance follow up, denials, medical claims, revenue cycle, etc.) + Experience working on the hospital side of AR. + EPIC experience preferred. + Strong understanding of insurance claims processing and reimbursement required. + High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing and coding preferred. Details: + Remote with restriction - Must be commutable to Farmington, CT. Applicants must pick up the equipment before starting. + Schedule: Monday – Friday | option to start at 7am, 7:30am or 8am. (8-hour shift – 40 hours per week) + Pay: $25 - $27/hr.
