Medical Assembler
**Job Title: Medical Assembler** **Job Description** As a Medical Assembler, you will begin in the coiling department within a cleanroom environment. The role requires you to gown up, including wearing a smock, booties, hair net, beard net (if applicable), and eye glasses. The primary task involves operating coil winding machines and working with small metal coils that are used to manufacture medical components such as stints, catheters, and leads. **Responsibilities** + Operate coil winding machines and wrap coils around a spindle. + Use microscopes for inspection and manipulation of wires (30-50% of the time). + Sit or stand for 8 hours depending on the task. + Work in various assembly areas (Molding, CEA Assembly, Laser Welding, and Implantable Housings). + Inspect and deburr parts using tools like pliers, filers, and knives. + Work with laser welding machines to finish small medical components. + Use small hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, and wrenches for assembly tasks. + Operate automated presses and stamping machines in the non-cleanroom area. + Ensure parts are correctly made, inspected, deburred, and filed as needed. **Essential Skills** + 4-6+ months of medical manufacturing or small part experience. + 4-6+ months of experience working with microscopes. + Experience working in a cleanroom environment. + Ability to use small hand tools under and without microscopes. + Comfortable working with parts about the size of a pen tip. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical inclination is beneficial for working with machines. + Hand dexterity from activities such as sewing is a plus. + Adaptability to different tasks and willingness to be cross-trained. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a very nice facility with a well-equipped lunch/break room and an on-site market for food, snacks, and drinks. Most positions are in a cleanroom environment requiring gowning up, but some may be in a non-cleanroom area where eye glasses are required. The non-cleanroom area is louder due to machinery and has a slight oil smell, which most people get used to after a week. The role requires comfort with both sitting and standing as tasks may vary daily. Skirts are allowed if no skin is exposed, and hijabs are permitted if athletic ones are worn and tucked in for safety. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
