Medical Assembler
**Job Title: Assembler : Brooklyn Park, MN** **Job Description** Candidates will be assembling cauterizing surgical instruments in a cleanroom environment. They will be reading processes and responsible for some documentation as well. This role requires experience in assembling medical devices on two or more product lines at or above the quantity standard rate projected by the supervisor or lead. **Responsibilities** + Assemble medical devices in a cleanroom environment. + Read and understand processes and quality system policies. + Complete and maintain accurate written records of manufacturing operations on production documentation. + Understand and carry out instructions from the supervisor or lead regarding priorities, work schedules, and job standards. + Adapt to changes in procedures and learn new procedures due to product line and technology modifications. + Cross-train on a variety of product line operations as needed. + Assist Assembler III or Lead in training procedures. + Proactively inform the lead or supervisor of material shortages. + Maintain a safe work environment by following good housekeeping and safety guidelines. + Maintain acceptable standards for attendance and work overtime and varying shifts as needed. + Use time effectively and constructively, avoiding idle conversation that disrupts others. + Volunteer in Shared Leadership activities such as Kanban Management, Calibration, and Metrics Board Maintenance. + Perform all other essential duties as directed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in medical device assembly or ISO certified assembly. + Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, or in person. + Understanding of verbal and written work instructions. + Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). + Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow cleanroom practices. + Fine motor skills and high degree of dexterity and eye coordination for assembling small parts. + Ability to operate manufacturing and measurement equipment following appropriate training. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + 1 to 2 years of previous medical device assembly experience preferred. + Soldering and hand bonding experience preferred. + Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing preferred. + Basic MS Windows skills and site-specific PC programs. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy 2 weeks of paid time off and 6 holidays. Employees will wear hair nets, gowns, booties, and other cleanroom attire. Hand washing is required before entering the cleanroom, and no makeup is allowed. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the use of microscopes daily. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
