Overview We at Fairview Health Services are looking for dedicated Medical Assistant to join the hard working team at the Women's Health Clinic at our Burnsville location. This position is approved for 68 hours every two weeks and will likely be 10-hour shifts. Responsibilities Job Description As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team, supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is essential for promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient. Prioritizes work based on patients acuity, available resources, patient/support network preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members. Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN. Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Qualifications Ambulatory Care Experience AAMA Certification We find those that excel in this role exhibit many of these characteristics: High standard of creative prioritization skills and priority setting.
