ChristianaCare Cardiology at Elkton is looking for a Medical Assistant.

ChristianaCare Cardiology at Elkton is located at 111 West High Street, Suite 207 in Elkton, Maryland. ChristianaCare Cardiology at Elkton provides specialized care in cardiology. Our specialists are highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of various types of heart conditions and other serious diseases and provide our patients with the best cardiac care possible. This practice utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and the latest procedures available in cardiac medicine.

As a medical assistant you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. You will also be responsible to deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday position (8am to 4:30pm)

Duties / Responsibilities:

As a medical assistant you will beĀ involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

High School Graduate or GED required.A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
