Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for follow-ups, patient updates, data entry, answering inbound phone calls, ordering labs, relaying lab results, scheduling follow-ups, and triage. The ideal candidate will have medical experience and be proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Athena.

ResponsibilitiesPerform follow-ups and update patient records.Enter data accurately and efficiently.Answer and manage inbound phone calls.Order laboratory tests and relay lab results to patients.Schedule follow-up appointments.Assist in triage and provide clinical support.Essential SkillsMedical experience, preferably as a Medical Assistant (MA).High School Diploma.Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Athena.Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.Strong customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assisting diploma, certification, or 1+ years of MA experience preferred but not required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Experience in front desk operations and insurance processing.Work Environment

The position involves working onsite at a clinic from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. Employees will receive medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 401K plan and holiday pay for six paid holidays. Upon permanent hire, employees will receive nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO, with the opportunity to earn additional PTO through performance recognition. The company frequently hosts dinners, lunches, and parties for employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
