Medical Assistant ($24/hr-$25/hr)
Actalent is in search of a well-spoken medical assistant in Kailua-Kona!Job Description:Patient Interaction: Greets and assists patients and other guests in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner.Patient Registration: Registers arriving patients in the EMR, following existing protocols.Rooming and Triage: Rooms patients and provides triage services, including vital signs, review of symptoms, and chief complaints in the electronic medical record (EMR).Patient Documentation: Accurately records patient information such as vital signs, review of systems, and chief complaints in the EMR.Medical Assisting: Proficient in a full range of medical assisting skills, including collecting urine samples.Clinical & Administrative Support: Functions as either a front office or back office clinical team member, depending on daily assignment. Performs all assigned duties of the host or clinical team member, including opening, shift, and closing responsibilities for the center.Facility Maintenance: Cleans and stages exam and procedure suites between patient occupancy.Payments Processing: Processes cash and credit payments for services.Inventory Management: Performs regular inventory checks of medical supplies, processes orders, and re-stocks shelves and suites when supplies are received.Administrative Tasks: Composes and responds to emails, answers and makes phone calls, and handles other administrative duties as needed.Training Support: Assists new associates in training as requested.Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.Roving: Required to rove to all centers in your market.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ability to lift 15-30 lbs.Required to move between locations within and outside of the building, push, pull, reach, bend, stand for long periods, and sit for extended periods.Must be able to speak and write English fluently.EducationHigh School Diploma required.Experience and Required SkillsExperience: Urgent care or fast-track ER experience is a plus but not required.Medical Terminology: Ability to see, hear, and accurately read and write medical terminology.Bedside Manner: Outstanding bedside manner with both pediatric and adult patients.Teamwork: A positive and energetic attitude that inspires team members.Patient Care: Strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles.Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.Communication & Problem-Solving: Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently.Work Under Pressure: Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.Technology Proficiency: Proficient in EMR software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Typing: Ability to type 45 words per minute (WPM).Transportation: Must have reliable, independent transportation to travel to various locations during any given shift.About Actalent
