We offer care expert staff and state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing needs of our community and are committed to the values of dignity collaboration justice stewardship and excellence. **Responsibilities** **Job Summary:** Under the direction of Physician, prepares patients for examination and assists with examinations and minor office surgeries. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Certification of a Medical Assistant program + Medical Assistant Certification + Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) + California State Phlebotomy Certification (required within 12 months) + Demonstrates skills in taking vital signs and height and weight measurements Knowledge of sterile technique and handling of infectious waste. + Ability to work as a team and communicate well and interact appropriately with others. + Able to work in spite of frequent interruptions High level of concentration and attention to detail. **Preferred:** + One-year experience in physician/clinic setting + High School diploma or GED Additional EMT or equivalent experience + Current ACLS & PALS certifications (American Heart Association) + Current EMT License \#HelloMedicalAssistants **Pay Range** $22.22 - $24.88 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
