Job Title: Medical Assistant Job Description Work in a neurology and orthopedic office with high volume and workflow. The Medical Assistant will support back office functions, including patient intakes and room loading, vital checks, medication reconciliation, and preparing charts prior to patient visits. Responsibilities also include prepping orthopedic injections for the doctor to administer, preparing patient rooms, completing prior authorizations, reviewing MRI reports, restocking rooms and supply closets, completing inventory, triaging phone calls for any physician or patient questions, updating patient records, and updating the electronic medical record system (Athena). The role may involve cross-training in spine, pain management, and orthopedics. Hard Skills + 1 year of medical assistant experience + CMA preferred but not required + EMR experience (prefer Athena, open to other experience) + Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required) Soft Skills + Good bedside manner + Time management skills + Ability to handle high patient volume (Upwards of 80 patients a day) Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Work Environment This shift would be Monday - Friday and the hours would be 7:30am - 5pm in office.
