Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description

Room patients, take and document vital signs, and assist provider with medical exams. Perform accurate charting, assessments, and interventions, and follow-up per scope of practice. Collaborate with the Medical Provider regarding phone messages, pharmacy refills, and ancillary test results in a timely manner. Maintain current knowledge and capability to perform all clinical procedures and equipment maintenance (e.g., vision, audiometry, lab testing). Respond to and actively participate in all clinical emergencies and maintain emergency equipment. Ensure optimum patient confidentiality and safety. Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and use personal protective equipment as needed for all patient care procedures, maintenance of equipment, and disposal of waste. Perform additional miscellaneous duties as requested by the management team within the scope of knowledge and ability.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Laguna Hills, California.

Work Environment

Monday-Friday in an office setting. Works primarily in the Laguna Hills location with 3 providers and 3 back office support staff. Expected to float to other locations for coverage 2-3 times per week, with proximity considered for site assignments. Locations include Booth, Spectrum, Newport Beach, Rancho Niguel, Ladera Ranch, and Laguna Hills.
