Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Syosset, New York! This role requires travel between two locations, the Port Jefferson Station office and Syosset. This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration: **Type:** Four-month contract, opportunity for extension or full-time offer **Schedule:** Monday (Port Jefferson, 9am to 7pm) Tuesday (Syosset, 9am to 7pm) Wednesday (Syosset, 9am to 6pm) and Friday (Syosset, 8am to 2pm) **Pay:** $22.50 to $24.34 an hour **Responsibilities of the** **Medical Assistant:** · Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination. · Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner. · Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies. · Respects patient confidentiality always and treats patients with courtesy and respect. · Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks, and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments. · Process specimens (logging in EMR and packaging the lab specimen for pick up) · Supports and follows Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) · Performs all other related duties as assigned **Qualifications for the** **Medical Assistant:** · High school diploma or GED · One year of prior MA experience, within dermatology setting is a plus · MA Certified candidates are a plus · Ability to travel between Syosset and Port Jefferson Station offices **Why work for Adecco?** · Weekly Pay · 401(k) Plan · Skills Training · Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
