Job Description
Perform vital sign documentation. Prepare patients and rooms for exams and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment. Organize and perform patient care services that support the physician’s practice. Prepare patients for examination/procedures. Assist physicians with procedures. Relay instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person. Collect patient data in person and by phone and document patient concerns. Message and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician’s review. Administer medications specifically directed by the physician. Complete and accurate message taking, routing messages to the appropriate area for direction. Order and referral entry, set up cases in the EMR system plus basic registration and updating of demographics. Assist physician/nurse practitioner with exams and procedures. Accurately document medical information in the patient records. Track and route test results to physician(s)/nurse practitioner(s) for review. Communicate test results with patients when deemed appropriate by physician/nurse practitioner. Facilitate patient care activities, including scheduling ancillary tests, reinforcing patient education, and performing triage as appropriate and directed by physician/nurse practitioner. Maintain adequate inventory of medical, office, and pharmaceutical supplies. Perform basic computer skills in using electronic health records proficiently while conducting daily documentation and communications involved in patient care. Process orders appropriately and accurately.

M-F 8:00AM to 5:00PM (Could be one late night a week to 7 PM). Location: Poughkeepsie. Internal Medicine.
