Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments and chemotherapy treatments, answering phones, and directing patients to the appropriate medical professionals. You will also be responsible for taking patient medical histories and entering information into our EMR system, and verifying insurance details. Responsibilities + Schedule patients for appointments and chemotherapy treatments + Answer phones and direct patients to RNs, providers, etc. + Conduct intake of patient medical history and vitals, and enter information into the EMR system (Centricity) + Verify insurance details including copays + Provide excellent customer service and phone etiquette + Assist in phone triage and scheduling appointments Essential Skills + HS Diploma + Experience with EMR systems + Strong customer service skills + Proficiency in phone triage + Ability to schedule appointments efficiently + Medical assisting experience in an outpatient clinic + Insurance verification expertise + Attention to detail + Good phone etiquette + Ability to manage a high volume of patients Additional Skills & Qualifications + (PLUS) Bilingual in English and Polish + Experience in oncology Work Environment This position is based in a busy ambulatory clinic that sees a high volume of patients. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays. You will be part of a family-oriented facility where many staff members have worked together for a long time, with some staying for 20 to 30+ years.
