Whether patients are referred to us or already have a Cleveland Clinic OB/GYN, we work closely with them to offer treatment recommendations and follow-up care to help you receive the best outcome. **A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am-5:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Assist with performing screening and treatments by gathering information related to health maintenance, collecting specimens, and documenting patient care. + Update health maintenance at patient visits, accurately identifies medication changes, and updates allergy information at each visit. + Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. + Administer specific medications under direction of provider. + Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. + Assist in pre-visit planning by updating the health maintenance tab. + Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting Program. + Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered. + Current demonstrated clinical proficiency. + Completion of a clinical externship. (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship). + Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required within new hire period. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + CMA, NCMA, CCMA certification. + Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship.
