Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced Primary Care office. This role is intended to be long-term, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position after the contract period. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in medical assisting or nursing, and should have completed medical assistant school or possess a nursing license. Certification or registration is not required, but welcomed.

ResponsibilitiesRoom patients according to the schedule every 15-30 minutes.Measure and record patient vital signs and measurements.Maintain cleanliness in the examination room after the doctor has completed the visit.Assist with patient charting, scheduling, and rescheduling appointments.Handle referrals, order lab tests, and follow up on results.Verify insurance and manage interactions with pharmacies.Knowledge of prior authorization procedures is beneficial, but not required.Essential SkillsAt least one year of experience in medical assisting or nursing.Completion of medical assistant school or a nursing license.Proficiency in basic patient rooming, patient measurements, and data input.Basic knowledge of insurance verification and pharmacy dealings.Ability to work with EPIC (training provided if necessary).Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program.Certification or registration is preferred but not required.Prior authorization knowledge is helpful.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
