Job Title: Medical Assistant
**Second position available in Florham Park location**Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant for a Back Office MA position. The ideal candidate will perform patient intakes, room loading, vital checks, manual blood pressure measurements, EKGs, and update electronic medical records. The role also involves restocking rooms, managing inventory, triaging phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct patient intakes and load rooms
+ Perform vital checks and manual blood pressure measurements
+ Conduct EKGs
+ Update inboxes and scan documents for the electronic medical record (EMR) system
+ Restock rooms and supply closets, complete inventory
+ Triage phone calls for any physician or patient questions
+ Update patient records in the EMR system, preferably Athena
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of medical assisting experience
+ Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Athena or Epic
+ Proficiency in manual blood pressure measurements
+ Experience conducting EKGs
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Customer service and bedside skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Medical Assistant (preferred but not required)
+ Shift flexibility
Work Environment
The position operates within a primary care office, providing an opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients through repeated visits, often quarterly or biannually. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with one Saturday a month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Working on a Saturday allows for 4 hours to be taken off during the week. The office has 4 providers, and the Medical Assistant will usually stay with the same provider, with a typical provider seeing 15-30 patients a day. The role offers a 1:1 Medical Assistant to Provider ratio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
