Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant with experience in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate should be willing to obtain their CMA/RMA certification within six months. This role involves assisting physicians with patient interactions, rooming patients, taking vitals, and communicating with patients and pharmacies regarding test results and medication refills.
Responsibilities
+ Assist physicians with all patient interactions
+ Room patients and take vitals
+ Call patients to explain test and lab results
+ Contact pharmacies for patient medication questions and refills
+ Schedule appointments and handle call center duties as needed
Essential Skills
+ Medical Office Experience
+ MA certification (or willingness to obtain CMA/RMA within six months)
+ 2-3 years of experience in a medical assistant role
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Scheduling and call center experience
+ Experience in women's health or OB/GYN (nice to have)
Work Environment
You will be working in a busy and high-volume OB/GYN or women's health office located in West Hartford. The dress code requires scrubs, closed-toe shoes, no piercings, and a professional appearance. The work hours are strict, starting at 8 AM and ending at 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. This organization offers potential upward mobility and growth, with ongoing investments in other states such as Texas and California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
