Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with working as a Medical Assistant and will also be trained at the front desk to assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, clinical messaging, check-ins, check-outs, and other front desk duties. This position offers an opportunity to work with a leading research and training hospital, enhancing your skills in a dynamic environment.
ResponsibilitiesReview provider schedules daily and weekly to plan patient care.Communicate schedule changes with providers.Greet patients in the waiting room and escort them to the triage room and exam room.Ensure efficient patient flow through the office, triage room, and exam rooms.Check patients' identification.Instruct patients on how to prepare for the physician or nurse practitioner.Anticipate and set up special equipment and/or supplies needed for the visit.Alert the physician or nurse practitioner when the patient is ready and communicate pertinent clinical information.Assist with training and orientation of new Medical Assistant staff.Assist with training and orientation of new equipment.Assist patients through the checkout process when the visit is complete.Clean and prepare rooms for the next patient.Respond to needs to expedite visits and keep on schedule.Skills Required Previous Medical assistant or Phlebotomy experience (Pediatric Experience Preferred)1 - 2 years of Medical Assistant experience minimumExperience using EPICAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00
