Fairview Health Services is looking for Medical Assistant to work out of the Fairview Brooklyn Park Clinic! This position is approved for 78 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible position. This position does require you are able to work every other weekend. This role also qualifies for for up to a $2000 sign on bonus. Responsibilities Job Description As a member of the patients care team, Medical Assistants support quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws We find that those who excel in this role are also able to: Easily communicates compliance and concerns to others involved with patient care Partner with patient and/or care-giver in care/decision making Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patient Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Qualifications Ambulatory Care Experience AAMA Certification Other Skills We Desire: Excellent customer service, public relations and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and work with a fluctuation in workload while working independently. Ability to adapt to change and engage in ongoing process improvement. Flexibility to work at other sites (as needed) is encourages.
